About

The first sight of Jibinc will dazzle you and set the tone for your stay.  The uniqueness and beauty in the wooded surroundings will instantly ‘waw’ you and at the same time make you realise the secluded nature as you look around and notice no other buildings in sight.

You will rise up the walkway to the elevated position in the canopy of the surrounding trees which houses not only the accommodation, but also the hot tub, which we are certain you will make full use of to relax and unwind.

On summer evenings you can sit outside and enjoy the firepit to cook whilst staring at the starry sky.  In winter the warmth of the hot tub is even more appealing whilst listening to the owls swooping nearby.

Inside, the interior is finished to modern standards, but adorned with hints of the custom made nature of Jibinc.  Look for the hidden engraving of the logo and other one off touches made specifically for this treehouse.  You can recline in the rocking chairs downstairs in front of the TV, or climb the ladder to the ‘Cwtsh’ where you can snuggle up and enjoy the warmth of the modern insulated building.  Just because you are in a treehouse does not mean you don’t need to be comfortable.

All mod cons are available, from Wi-Fi, electric heating, smart TV’s, electric hob, cooker, dishwasher etc.  It really does make a relaxing stay with no compromise when it comes to modern living, a diametric opposite to the location and feeling in the wilderness.  All powered by the solar PV and battery system to make minimal impact on the environment.

The Hosts

Meet Cheryl, Gethin, Alys and Lloyd

Hi, we’re Gethin and Cheryl, and we moved back to the family farm to start a family in 2012 and had dreamt of building a treehouse along with their children Alys and Lloyd.

Our love for the countryside was a driver to build this treehouse in order to share with others.  It gives us great pleasure to invite others to enjoy this idyllic location, in a peaceful setting secluded from all others.

A childhood friend of Gethin built the treehouse to give it that unique Welsh ‘Croeso’ (Welcome) which we are certain all will enjoy.

Cheryl will be your main contact, whilst Gethin can be spotted somewhere on the farm checking and tending to the stock whilst not working for a national charity during the working week.

Wildlife & The Environment

The farm hosts habitats for barn owls, red kites, buzzards and the name ‘Jibinc’ itself is Welsh for ‘Chaffinch’.  Many of these you will see during your stay.

Over the 250 acres farm the family keep sheep and cattle, who may come and say hello over the fence.  We plant around 5,000 trees each winter in order to connect woodland and hedgerow habitats, and we continue to do more each year.  Brown hares are a common sight on the farm and bats will be seen at night if you switch all the lights off to enjoy the dark skies.  Wildflowers and haymeadows have been planted in order to deliver pollinator habitats for bees and birds, whilst dragonflies come and enjoy the pond.  Badgers live nearby and foxes can also be seen hunting at dusk.  If songbirds are of interest, then please feel free to use the binoculars that are kept within the treehouse for your enjoyment.

Reviews

Our stay at Jibnic Treehouse was incredible. We stayed for two nights but could have happily stayed for much longer than this. The treehouse was well equipped with everything we needed to enjoy our stay. The owners kept in touch with us before our stay to see if we had any questions and also checked in with us to make sure we had arrived safely. It was so peaceful, calming and relaxing. The hot tub was on for the duration of our stay so we could enjoy it whenever we wanted, the temperature inside the treehouse was very comfortable, the place was very clean and amazingly well furnished. We particularly enjoyed the rocking chairs and just relaxing in them watching tv. We really enjoyed watching the kites flying across the fields throughout the day.

We couldn’t have chosen a better place to spend our honeymoon. From the second we pulled up to second we drove away everything was perfect. We were greeted with a welcome hamper, mr and mrs banners and petals scattered around. We loved everything about it, the bed was so comfy, sitting in the rocking chairs and of course relaxing in the hot tub. But the best thing about it for us was the peace and quiet, the stunning views and the fact there was nobody else around. We both lead very busy lives so to get away for a week and literally not have to do anything was heaven. The kitchen is so well equipped unlike other places that we have stopped at in the past, so we decided to eat in every night. We shall definitely be returning in the future.

We had the most amazing stay for our Minimoon. A great few days where we could unwind and relax with complete peace and quiet with nature all around. Spending the evenings in the hot tub under the stars was the best way to relax. Every little detail was thought about, from the very clean and well presented accommodation, to the welcome box of goodies and Prosecco. Just a fantastic stay!

We were coming from London and we were hoping that everything would be like the pictures. When I arrived, everything was better than the pictures and everything was available to us, such as the kitchen equipment, the barbecue, the hot tub that was disinfected and it was very, very enjoyable.
